The Waterkant Festival 2026 is certified as further education.
In recent years, it has been possible to certify the Waterkant Festival as a further education event. This means that all employees can submit their participation in the Waterkant Festival 2026 as educational leave. Educational leave is paid leave for further professional training. All employees have a legal entitlement to this - and it is granted in addition to the regular leave entitlement.
We are able to make this possible again this year.

How it works
Step 1:
Download the recognition certificate here as soon as it is available.
Step 2:
Submit the recognition
certificate to your
employer.
Step 3:
Buy a Waterkant
Festival ticket.
Step 4:
Come to the Festival on
June 18–19th 2026.
Step 5:
Collect your confirmation of participation at the helpdesk from 4 p.m. on the day of the program.
Step 6:
Submit confirmation of participation to
your employer.
Done.
The decision applies to Schleswig-Holstein. Further federal states are in the works and will be announced here as soon as they are available.
